Today I had a chat with someone that is a member of my family, and it really hit home to me, how much about the web that some people don't know. I don't mean this in a bad way, and often I forget that what I take for granted is not what people automatically know. So today's article is about the process of setting up a new Website.
What are the steps for setting up your website?
The first thing that you should do is register your domain name like: "yourdomainname.com". You can do that at one of the following places:
https://ca.godaddy.com
https://www.domain.com
https://www.namecheap.com
And the list goes on and on, But if you want to combine your efforts so that you get domain registration AND domain hosting at one spot, then try this link:

Once you have done that, the next step is to build your website. You can do so by answering the question of "What is my site for?" See also another post for a more in depth read on the subject of what a site is built for.
- A billboard
- A content house for researchers on your subject for your service
- E-commerce site
- A list building website
- A combination of one of the previous four
Once you decided on what your site is going to be, Now you should go and search the web for a site that you like your site to look like.
Is the site template system that you're using Mobile compatible?
Is the site layout an important issue for you?
Will the template system that you've decided upon work well for Google?
Will the template system that you've decided upon look professional?
Is the template system that you've decided upon easy to work with?
Is the template system that you decided upon scalable?
The most productive site template that I have seen in the past is WordPress. If you think that there are sites that are better built than WordPress and you don't want to read any further than please be my guest to leave this post, however if you want more proof, here is a link to sites that presently use this template system:

The most important point for any website on the World Wide Web, According to Google, is that they are giving new and relevant data on a consistent and regular basis to their Fanbase. Did you want to read that again? Okay here it is again, according to Google, if you put new and relevant data on a consistent and regular basis you will receive ranking and search engine results pages organically. Here is an article https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2661562?hl=en&ref_topic=1348566 which outlines by google what they recommend to get traffic to your site. My personal experience has been through posting on a regular and consistent fashion with new and relevant information.
So how do you do that? The easiest way is to put a post or an article on your site on a regular and consistent basis. A lot of people that I work with say that they don't have the content to post on a regular and consistent basis. Here is another link to another article I've written on that subject.
