Have you ever gotten an email from a "trusted" company that stated that you paid something that you know that you had not?
If the amounts are ridiculously out of perspective, have a second and a third look at the email. DON'T click on the link that they provide. I mean it, DON'T click the link! Oh, you already did didn't you? ok, well all is not lost yet... before you enter any information that you could be handing information to "bad guys", take a close look at the URL in the address bar.
Does it have the lock of a secure site? No--don't enter information
Does it look like a familiar site, but slightly less images? Yes--Don't enter your information
Can you get to this link by going directly to the company site that you know and trust and signing into your account there? No--don't enter your information
Recently I received an email from one such phisher, and it got my ire. They had used one of my most trusted companies (often they use banks or trusted companies as their cover) and I was very close to going to the site. But I followed the rule of squashing a phisher-man
If it is not legit- do not click
