ZOOM.US compared to GOOGLE HANGOUTS!

Hangouts Vs ZOOM
Today I did a comparison of these two products to see how they stack up. The interesting thing is that here is a comparison sheet that I put together for the two products, and I will have to say that I was on the outset not ready to accept that ZOOM.US was a better product. After playing with it, and finding out the full capabilities, I must say that it is a much more robust and scalable system than Google hangouts.
The one thing that I do love about the Hangouts is still the classic option of putting hats and facial hair on, and looking goofy! That always makes me smile and laugh when I am in the middle of my conference. The bonus for google Hangouts is that there is nothing to buy, and very little to install, except for a plugin for your browser, and it literally take a few seconds to do that (depending on your download Speed). Once you are set up with Google Hangouts, you can then have up to 10 participants on a single call. you can screen share and app share, and all take part in an online quiz if you are so inclined. It is a quick way to see the screen of a fellow worker, to quickly diagnose, or troubleshoot a problem with them. There are many possibilities to consider with Hangouts.
Having said that, there are many more options that you can utilize with the more scalable versions of ZOOM.US . You can start off doing all of the same things that I described above, and you can even have up to 50 participants in the FREE version. This means that starter businesses may even have free webinars with up to 50 participants when they are getting their feet wet for web conferencing. The capabilities of this tool allow the user to easily record and save the files of the meetings. It also allows the moderator to mute one or all of the participants. The one limiting factor to the free version of this tool is that you may only have 40 minute meetings at a time. They are unlimited, so you could in fact just end one and begin another one without penalty, but if you are looking to become the professional host of your own conferences, you will want to look at the different pricing offerings here, and choose the one that makes the most sense to you.
